dragged into the vortex of a dangerous investigation, through the succession of a whole series of circumstances.
An original detective adventure novel has been constructed, inspired by the works of Arthur Conan Doyle and based on the works of Vladimir Gilyarovsky.
Moscow, 1902. The famous director Konstantin Stanislavsky, in search of inspiration to stage a new play, decides to document life in the Moscow slums. He asks Vladimir Gilyarovsky, a recognised expert on the city's slums, for help.
Together, they go to the legendary gangster Khitrovka and become involved in the investigation of the murder of a mysterious local resident, the Sikh Indian with a dark past.
